She remembers fondly some of the Unicef campaigns that her father supported such as the one seeking to end child marriages. In the past she has worked together with a number of organisations throughout Africa that advance the empowerment of women. One the biggest organisations she has worked with is one. Her biggest goal is to change the perception of most people in Zimbabwe that women are only good for child bearing and nothing else.
One of the biggest Unicef campaigns she is involved in is an effort to gather signatures for a petition against ending violence against children and child marriage in Zimbabwe. The campaign has so far gained signatures. In addition to her vocal talent, she has mastered the art of playing hosho and mbira, complimented by her mhande dance moves. Her debut album, 'Shungu' features songs ranging from moving ballads to high-energy dance rhythms based on traditional Zimbabwean jiti drumming.
In addition to her own original compositions, 'Shungu' features unique reinterpretations of music by Steve Makoni and Oliver Mtukudzi, infusing these classic songs with dynamic new energy for entirely new generation of listeners. She is married to fellow musician Tendai Manatsa, son of the legendary Zex Manatsa.
