Thirty-six years on, the focus of Sandro is creating comfortable yet stylish pieces which will suit any woman, as well as focussing on sustainability. Not only that, the brand is also currently focussing on giving back during the current global pandemic. That is our word. When we founded the Sandro brand inFrench markets lacked designs such as ours.

The market was divided at the time between luxury designer stores and department stores that sell cheap clothes, and a negligible number of stores that offer quality clothes at reasonable prices. Our ambition was and remains to create premium products at reasonable prices. Indeed, I love designs that reflect the essence of the Sandro brand: well-defined designs that exude femininity with a masculine touch.

I cannot identify a specific type of woman, but what is important for us is very simple: Will the woman look beautiful in this look and will she give her comfort? A strong woman is independent, knows what she wants and has an enormous ability to express her emotions. She loves unconditionally and is always ready to take care of everyone around her.

The couple embarked on their Sandro adventure together inand their first boutique was opened on rue Vieille du Temple in the heart of the Marais. They enjoyed instant success; the House is now just a few hundred metres away from its original spot, in a townhouse on rue de Turenne. Her vision of femininity is the basis for her designs; she focuses on her favourite area of expression, the masculine-feminine equation, and shares an indisputable Parisian elegance with those she dresses.

Evelyne designs unambiguous clothes to worn by an urban girl who hones a discreet look, only to be all the more visible for it. Ilan Chetrite, the son of the founders of the Parisian brand, loves describing the brand as a brother. His economics studies led to his joining the family House and playing a central role in its expansion.
